Here I have a very old hardcover book titled "The Great Monarchies of the Ancient Eastern World or The History, Geography, and antiquities of chaldea, Assyria, Babylon, Media, persia, parthia, and Sassanian, or New Persian Empire" by George Rawlinson M.A. George Rawlinson is the Camden professor of Ancient history in the university of Oxford. This is Volume 3. I have looked alot for a copyright or publishing date, and I can not find one. From the look of the book I’m guessing late 1800s or early 1900s. It was published by Chicago,New York, and San Francisco Belford,Clarke & Co. It has many beautiful black and white pictures inside, and even some fold out maps. It has a total of 53 different chapters, and has 729 total pages. It also has a general index in the back as well. I noticed a few small stains inside, and the back and front cover have some stains otherwise very clean, and all the pages are intact, and tight to the binding. A very nice book to have among a collection. Please check out the three pictures. Please also note the pages do show some light browning from age wear.
