Here we have a vhs movie titled "The Sandpiper" starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and Eva Marie Saint. It also Co-Stars Charles Bronson and Robert Webber. The movie has been tested and plays perfectly. The box is in near perfect condition with only some minor sticker residue at the very top right corner.
Taylor and Burton, Names that made tabloid headlines. Their romance, their separations and reconciliations made news for twenty years- and made them the world’s most celebrated lovers. The sandpiper captures their passion on film at the peak of their careers. A free spirited artist, unmarried and raising her son alone, Laura Reynolds (Elizabeth Taylor) lives by her own rules, not society’s. in contrast, Dr. Edward Hewitt (Richard Burton) is a minister, headmaster of a private school, and a man of rigid traditional values. They are opposites irresistibly attracted, an attraction which even the highly moral Hewitt can’t deny, though the affair could cost him his career and his loyal wife (sympathetically played by Eva Marie Saint). Directed by Vincente Minnelli on location in California’s magnificent Big Sur. The Sandpiper is as dramatic as its lush coastal scenery. Its beauty is echoed in the haunting score that features the Oscar-winning song, "The shadow of your smile." With Burton at his most magnetic and Taylor at her most sumptuous, the film catches the undeniable chemistry that made them news on screen and off.
The movie is not rated, and is 1 hour 57 minutes long.
